Universal attachment armour
This armour is our entry-level model and can be quickly adapted to a variety of different excavator cabs due to its simple construction. We have deliberately dispensed with adapting this version to an individual cab design. Therefore, only the screw-on mounting brackets have to be adapted to the respective cabin type for assembly. The armouring can be used for excavators from approx. 6t.
We would like to point out that, according to DGUV Information 201-027 (as of March 2020), this open front frame armouring only fulfils the "established minimum standard for the protection of machine operators for frontal expected impact of up to 100 g net explosive mass" with regard to the safety glazing of resistance class BR6 but not the blast resistance ER 4.
Assembly
The assembly is carried out at the original fixing points of the cabin and thus ensures short assembly and disassembly times.
Options in detail
1. Simple front frame consisting of a welded 60x60x6 angle profile, with 8mm thick edged mounting steel plates. The dimensions of the bulletproof glass pane are 1590mm x 900mm with bulletproof class BR 6S explosion class ER 0.
2. Wiper module 12/24 V with weatherproof housing made of 2mm sheet steel
3. Floor armouring 12mm steel plate, consisting of two plates replacing the original inspection plates. (Not approved by the BG)
4. Floor armouring 12mm steel plate, consisting of one large plate.
5. Floor armouring with 12 mm steel plate, consisting of a large plate (on request also in two parts) with front upstand and a counter plate welded to the frame which overlaps the upstand of the floor armouring. (Approved by the BG, as there are no ballistic holes).
