Fixed installation for excavators under 16t
This armour was specially developed for excavators weighing less than 16t.
It features a flat design and is therefore very suitable for excavators with an adjustable articulated arm.
It is made of 8mm folded steel in a stable box construction.
The upper and lower armour are elastically connected to each other by means of special connecting elements.
The armour has a BR6NS rating and an ER 4 explosion rating.
The mounting plate made of 10mm steel plate, on which the upper and lower floor armouring will later be mounted, is clearly visible.
With this armour, too, the weight of the upper armour is transferred to the floor assembly by means of conical bearings. This, in conjunction with the special connecting elements, considerably increases the explosion protection...
The bottom armour is constructed in such a way that all original inspection openings are still accessible. It is easy to see how little space is left between the adjustment arm and the upper armour (not easy to see, but there is still a good 50mm). Also with this armour, the armoured glass is covered with an 8mm steel plate to ensure bullet resistance around the edges.
The windscreen wiper is fitted behind the front inspection hatch and covers a large wiping field thanks to its parallel wiper arm.
